• We publish a newsletter to assist, challenge, encourage, and inform homeschooling families as they educate their children.
  
  

Support Groups

• We serve as a resource for families establishing local support groups and families trying to locate a local support group.
• We sponsor seminars to encourage and inform support group leaders.
  
  

Events

• We coordinate the annual "Conference and Curriculum Fair," (C&CF) with nationally-known speakers, workshops and curriculum vendors.
• We sponsor an annual Graduate Recognition for homeschool graduates.
• We sponsor a state Homeschool Debate Tournament with winners going to national competitions.
• We sponsor seminars on developing high school transcripts.

• NCHEA members are eligible to join Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) at a discount.
• NCHEA members enjoy discounts at NCHEA sponsored events and activities.
  
  

Legislative

• NCHEA monitors the Unicameral and NCHEA officers present testimony before the Nebraska legislature on behalf of member families.
• NCHEA alerts its members regarding legislation, legal and political issues on the state and national scenes effecting homeschooling and parental rights.
• NCHEA conducts a candidate survey during election years to help you make decisions at the polls.
• NCHEA serves as consultant to Nebraska legislators on issues impacting home education and the family.
• NCHEA officers represent Nebraska at national homeschool leadership conferences and network with the leaders of other stat homeschooling organizations.
• NCHEA establishes relationships and dialog with government officials to:
  • Deter the enactment of detrimental legislation.
  • Encourage and influence legislation favorable to the rights of Christian parents to home educate their children.
  • Provide information to parents so they can make informed voting decisions.
